Hi i have a 1984 VK Commodore with an 202 and Efi and it has the vac and etc and i have an old aftermarket tacho laying around that ima put in untill i get a Monster tach and i havent pulled the dash out and i've been told theres a brown wire there would anyone be able to help me out there and if not what would the best way of getting it wired in ?thanks
ROTFL.... Monster tac on a 3.3 202 make sure you get the 16,000 RPM version with a shift light.
You will need to pull the cluster out and pickup the tacho wire for the cluster it will be in the round plug on the back on the cluster. Else you can pull one from your coil if you wish.
Maybe for a more sensible option have you considered replacing your "economy"/vacumn guage with a factory tacho?

i havent got the shift light yet as i get my Ls at the end of the Year and the shift light will b for the 308 as the 308 won't be stock)) just going the cheap way around has havent seen a factory tacho for cheapish my mum had 1 in her wagon but she sold and and its now strip no dash but getting the BW and Stearing out of it
am getting the shift light soon but gonna b good as ima rebuild and the 202 efi and work it a bit make it handle revs better and going LSd or Spooled rear end for my Ps at the Local drags
dont wann b over Reving the old 202 my mums didnt mind the revs after the rebuild tho lol
