    Default Compression testing results - post yours!

    Hello all,

    I just did a compression test of the VB. Here is what I measured in each engine cylinder, results are in PSI (KPA)

    1- 139 (958)
    2- 139 (958)
    3- 139 (958)
    4- 132 (909)
    5- 138 (951)
    6- 132 (909)

    Motor is original, untouched, min. 140K, max 170-180k (not sure)

    Here's the results of me EFI 5L in me VK.

    1 - 125
    2 - 120
    3 - 125
    4 -130
    5 - 100 (120 wet)
    6 - 135
    7 - 90 (130 wet)
    8 - 135

    Dunno how many k's, but chances are it's had a hard life as it was a BT1 (and has a 5spd behind it = more fun).....and since putting it in the VK it's been thrashed a fair bit...love it tho, built it to thrash and have fun in lol! Was still goin strong but the dizzy started playing up and the motor no longer revs and cuts outs frequently until it cools down. But....all is good, I just built up another donk for it! Gonna be thrashin it again real soon!!

    Ummm, note that in my rides bit in info box it says its a 3.3 lol.... :P

    Yeah the tyres smoked pretty bad.

    But nah no exhaust smoke at all. I got a mechanic at me bro's work to do the compression test, and apparently they used a different gauge for the 2 low cylinders as the normal one didn't fit right. So I'm not even 100% sure if it was accurate....was just odd that the 2 cylinders that were down on compression got tested with a different gauge, and was only a press on rubber one at that.

    It did have a slight miss which seamed to clear up as soon as the right foot went down (that's why I had the compression test done to try and find the problem). But apart from that it all seemed fine and performed extremely well!
