Hi Guys.
Just wondering if anyone has some pics of the under-side of their bonnets? Factory would be good.
I will be installing one in the next week or so and would like to see what the go is with the bonnet skin bracing.
Did they come from the factory with the hole in the bonnet?
I also have the HDT cold air tray, but don't know whether to run both.
As a side note, are there any problems running Low Kings Springs from a six cylinder on a V8.
Wieght difference at the front an issuse?

they didn't have a hole in the bonnet from factory - the scoop was more for looks only.
I had a cut a hole in my bonnet to fit the twin throttle body manifold, hence I needed the bonnet scoop to cover the hole. I just used the dimensions in the VL Walkinshaw manual to cut the hole in my bonnet. No re-enforcing is used on the Walkinshaw bonnet as there are no cuts through the main bonnet spars, only the skin support braces. So I didn't re-enforce mine either as I didn't cut through the main spars either.

I was hoping the hole in the bonnet was done at the factory so I would be legal.

To your front spring question,
6 cyl springs cant handle the weigh of v8
As a example.. My blue hz ute had 6 cyl 'sl' springs..
When we put the motor in we were wondeing why it was so fkn low (we didnt know thy were 6cyl)
We couldnt get full lock or anything on the steerijng
So we put v8 sl springs in and it went to the propper hight
So yer it does matter withh front springs
The ones optioned with ram air box did gain a hole in the bonnet, more square than round though. Not many VH SS Group 3's got them though.
