Default Rear power window cable route

Hi all, I installed a set of power windows in my vh on the weekend and fronts went to plan but the rears are not.
I got the drivers side rear in after a bit of stuffing around but the passenger side wont go on the same way, As if the cable is longer or something.
What I was wandering is if anyone can tell me the route that the cable need to run on the back windows as I was at it for many hours to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Just found this old thread after doing a search.

My rear cable on my VH elec window has popped off and is a complete twisted kinked mess. Have tried fixing it to no avail.

Just wondering, does anyone know if anyone fixes these? In Vic. Do glass places fix them? Or is there another sort of specialist that can sort it out for me?

    Hi mate.
    can you pull them out?

I had a look at it and it seems its hard wired with a suage/weld type join to the window at both ends.

The cables not broken, just completely kinked and knotted.

When you say pulled it out do you mean take the whole window out? I havent tried that.

It's not hard wired. Undo the bolts on each side at the bottom of each glass panel.
I got a detailed picture I'll dig up and post on here for ya. It'll tell u which way to route the wire for each side.
Iv also posted a thread on here a while back on how to recon the motors and the cable route to.
I'll get back to ya with some pics

Awesom thanks mate. I would appreciate that. I found a diagram on here when searching, which i printed out. That should help.

But yeah any mort info would be great, as the cars going for engineers check then a roadworthy next week and at the moment theres a block of wood wedged inside the door to stop the window dropping down. Its a good look that....

    Cheers.

This should help. Take the glass out first. Once u got it wound in, get sum1 to put the glass back in and bolt the bottom corners off the glass to the wire. The tension on the cable should b tight but not too tight. A bit play in it like a fan belt.

Those diagrams bring back horrible memories, The first door I did took 4 hours I got pretty good at it by the end of my project, from memory theres lines on the original cables to align to also
