Hey guys I got a 304 carby engin that I am planning to to into my originally 6cly vh commo. Just wondering if anyone know the qld laws on doin that. Apart from needing blue plates for the v8 conversion, will it effect me at all using a 304 as a carby engin. Thanks

No it won't. The Black V8 that came in the post 85 VK was a 304 carby. But....QLD have the same legislation as here I'm pretty sure, whatever the engine came from, you have to meet those emissions for that year. If the original car had a cat, so must the VH. Does the 304 you have have the EFI heads?

Apart from the front springs and swaybar, everything else was the same from 6 to V8.
