Hi all, I've got a vh and Iwas told that it had a vl diff disk brake in it. I need a new handbrake cable and was wondering wether to get the vh or vl one. Does it matter and is there any difference?
Thanks
Rob.
P.S The nats were a bit quiet this year.
The disc brake diff handbrake cables are the same cable VB-VL just stress to the person you want handbrake cable for a rear disc brake.
The cables are different between drum brake & disc brake. Also try to get one that is coated in rubber or plastic not just plain flexi-steel housing as when the cable rubs on suspension components & the body the housing will wear. The genuine cables used to have a black plastic/rubber cover over them but they are nolonger available from holden.
cheers

Thanks Scott I'll be able to order one now. It just threw me off that rare spares had a differrrent part number for each cable.
Thanks again
Rob.
Yeah seems strange, but they all use the same handbrake assembly Im running a VL turbo LSD diff in my VK using a VK disc brake handbrake cable.
Just incase they are doing something stupid with them I owuld order one for your model car if its a VH get one for a VH.
