hi all just trying to find out how much the standard vk efi ecu can handle
stock = 109kw
ive added a toyota sc/14 small blower (10lb)
as well as engine rebuild 060th/big crow cam/roller rockers/yella terra head/extractors/ect ect
basicly im still waiting on a differant unit to run it properly but im wondering if the standard one would start it and allow me to run the cam and engine in ? anybody played with these
i've played with plenty of VK EFI systems on similarly modified motors all except for forced induction ....
the EFI is tunable to get it working with all your mods, but my guess is that its going to run out of fuel map at about 2000-3000rpm and probably flood the motor or lean it right out .... either way its not something i'd recommend doing to a nice fresh motor.
CRS don't make a kit to fit the SC14 to a VK EFI because the computer can't handle it ....
when you say big cam, if you mean heaps of overlap and lumpy idle, thats probably not going to be very efficient with the blower, however if you mean big lift and duration with small overlap then you'll be in business!

Yeah I have had alot to playing on the VK, it will start the car but I advise against it without running an 02 sensor up the exhaust to make sure its not leaning out else you may destroy your nice new engine.
The problem with the Jettronic injection is that it watched airflow, engine RPM coolant temp and thats about it, it doesnt control the dizzy advance, it cant tell if theres too much advant and cant adjust by much the fuel rate via the injectors.
Out of interest what aftermarket injection & ignition system do you have planned for it?
cheers
Scott
