Viscus Hub Test

Im still battling this overheating prob :b: Im starting to think it must be the viscus hub. Is there any way of testing how well its working?

With the engine off, try and manually spin the fan. If it spins freely, the hub is dead. If it gets more difficult the harder you try, then it should be OK. You could always get a spacer and fixed fan from an earlier red motor at the wreckers. At least that way you'll know. Alternatively, there are many different types of electric thermo fans available.

Re: you overheating problem, did you change the thermostat? The thermostats in earlier Holden engines ran cooler, maybe you could try one of those?
