Installing a new speedo

Hi all I am going to install a second hand speedo into my VK just wanted to know. Does anyone know of any problems I may face ie releasing speedo cable.

When you go to get your speedo unless you already have it make sure the milage works as these are prone to fail and some wreckers i have been to dont have many that work that well unless you fix it your self which isnt hard but to save you the trouble try and find a working one.

Make sure when you take the cluster out to replace the speedo to be careful of the front plastic about the vents (the icons for rear window wiper ect) because that part can bend easy and break your plastic cluster cover. (i learnt the hard way)

Other than that it should be easy. When you installed the new speedo make sure that the cable is right in and clicked into place. What i find best is just put the cluster in wire cable ect and take for a drive to make sure it works then put the rest of the dash back together. Saves you pulling it all apart again.
