hey i know this isnt a commodore but i thought it might be worth a try as u may see i have posted a thread on here about a 5ltr conversion into my vk i also own a toyota 4runner which had a 4y 2.2ltr petrol (good motor but started to blow smoke and decided not to spend money on it and replace it with a v6) it has independant front suspension and if anyone has anyone done this? if so do u have some clear photos on the positoning of the engine mounts (from side on, top, and across veiws) and also im having some trouble with some wires one of them is a white wire thats goes from the toyota fuse box along the front end ( behind bonnet latch) going to the passenger side going into a plug with 3 wires 1 is the yellow one the others are both yellow the yellow one just goes to other plugs for the 4y engine and the white one has a splice in it with another white wire ( we think it goes to alternater) then goes into the car ive conected it to the small fuse box with the 30's and 60 amp main fuse in it on the vp fuse box im not sure if it right or not. i also have a thick violet wire coming from the starter relay (on vp fuse box) going into the when we remove the engine and wiring loom out of the car we remove all the computer wires and the rest we just cut at the fire wall would anyne know were its suppost to go is it suppose to go to the ignition it also has a small wire which is grey with a blue stripe on it in the starter relay aswell were would that go or if anyone who has done this conversion before be kind enough to right down wat colour the wire went to from the vp fuse box to wat colour wires on the 4 runner i would really greatfull and maybe i might be able to do something for u in return thanks
