Default extractors....are these ok or not? seem to be a little bit out...

Well tonight I started pulling down a few things off my engine, I've been meaning to do this for a while now coz it really needs a good clean.

I've also decided to get some extractors to chuck on, but the set which I got earlier today given to me, we're not sure if their for a red or blue motor. Does anyone know what the difference is on the extractors for the different motors? Here's some pics of what mine look like just sitting in postion. The only thing so far which doesn't look good is the hole for the bolt at the firewall end is about 5mm in to short (the ports all seem to line up ok tho), and apart from that the shape of the piece that joins onto the head isn't the same as the standard manifold...does that matter?

    Here's some pics:

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Cheers,
    Danny

    Default

I fitted them and their was only a few minor issues I had.

    1. The bit which bolts up to the last port was about 10mm to short....just had to use some leverage to move it over and bolt it in place.

    2. Had to grind out 2 small sections on the plates which bolt up to the head so that the intake would fit on.

And thats it, but it doesn't sit in the same spot as the old exhaust did so im gonna have to get the end heated up and bent......or just get some VH extractors lol.
