Hi, would anyone know the paint code for the common Vk Cerulean? It's the green/blue colour. I want to paint my interior rear side panels with this colour.
What's an 'interior rear side panel'? The plastic bits that go around the 5th window?
Couldn't help you with the code - but you should be able to get some VHT vinyl dye in a cerulean colour... which will stick to plasic quite happily (but better with a coat of primer).
Only problem I'ver had was my window winders - so I just clearcoated them. Problem solved![]()
In the Calais models there is the cerulean fabric covering the panels where the far rear window glass is on the sides. The glass next up from the quarter glass on the doors. My fabric had come loose and was just hanging on so I ripped it off and I want to paint it the cerulean colour vinyl paint if I can get it. I want to keep the same mix of colour as the rest. My mate reckons paint it black but it wouldn't look good I think. My brother has a black carpted parcel shelf with tan interior which doesn't look good either. So I want to keep the colours right inside so it doesn't look crap.
I think the vinyl dye would be the way to go. Black would almost certainly look shithouse
Or... if you want to buy some material in that colour, I could hook you up with a guy...
I bought 500ml of Ceruleun Blue from 3D Paints in Campbelltown NSW for around $25. Paint code is 3B011.
Have Fun
Thanks.
Autobarn told me that you can get the trim colour by getting it off the plate in the engine bay. There is the body paint code and the trim paint code. What I am not sure of is whether the colour is going to be the darker green/blue like on my plastics like the dash parts or if it would be the colour of the fabric which is the lighter green/blue.
noi matter what you do they look a tad different. I resprayed a brown dash with the paint I purchased and it matches with the fabric and trims pretty well but just to be as sure as I resprayed everything plastic
It's for plastic. I might get them to match up some auto paint. Auto paint is good because it is a laquer and long lasting especially for interior use.
Can you show a pic of this colour and job when it's done?
I just need ideas for my future crazy looking interior![]()
