stalling???

sometimes when pulling up to the lights from say over 80km/h when i back off and apply the brakes the engine stalls. why?
its a stock black 202 auto
any help would be appriciated.

inside your brake booster there is a diaphram, chances are that it is cracked or worn out.

Try disconnecting the vacuum hose off the booster which runs from your intake manifold and tie it up somewhere, apply the brakes and see if the vehicle will stall.

yer cheers it doesnt seem to be doing it anymore.
if it happens again i will give it a try.
