Hey guys,
I'm almost 100% certain that this is a no - given that I've not seen it done before - but can a VP IRS diff be bolted up behind an earlier non-IRS model?
Or, rather, why can't it be?
Cheers,
Chris.
It can be done but at a cost

Well - exactly what's involved? Can an IRS rear axle be bolted in? Where does it differ?
Well I reckon you need to make the rear floor pan stronger to bolt in the main part of the diff.
Also i think you might need someone to make new trailing arms. Also you can get a top notch engineer to make new drive shafts at your length.
