Since there is 4cyl 1.9L VH, why not replace the engine with a CA18DET from a s13 ? or even an SR20DET ?
well personal opinion i would go rb30 thos 2 u said need big f*<k off turbos 2 b any good but if ya did a rb30t conversion would b easyier and just as fast........remember thats just my personal opinion
clint.
Yeah i know you could throw in an RB engine but since the original engine is a 4 cyl, replace it with another 4cyl engine it would be pretty cool
Not planning on doing this, im actually planning to drop in a 304 EFI into a VH/SLE![]()
well yea i spose it would b possible with an engineer or somthingwould b fair sick 2 but i like the idea of the efi 5L
sounds sick
yeah the 304 sounds alot better. but the ca18 dont go to hard stock and they are in 180s and silvias let alone a VH way heavier.

I have always thought of doing this for a daily high mile driver. It would be a great performance/economy car and a sleeper to boot, the starfire commodores only weighed 1100kgs so are a similar weight to the 180sx. Id love to have a black(raven mica) VC with turbo four for daily use parked next to my current tiger mica 304efi VH for weekend use. The stuff of wet dreams.Originally Posted by gemini

You can pick up a an RB20DET including everything to get it running for around $1000 so the SR's and the CA must be cheaper ? :S

PS 4cyl Commodores are 1158kgs to be precise.
