    Exclamation flooding

hi all a mate of mines got a vk and hes just replaced fuel filter, when he was drivin home one night it started running really rough blowing alot of smoke, pulled up and it cut out, took a look under the bonnet and there was a fair bit of fuel around ne way long story short.....theres fuel leaking out of the carby where the accelerator pin thingy is, would it be the seal on the end of that just letting too much fuel through?? Cheers Sam

Carbie needs a kit put through it, pretty easy job. The accellerator pump seal sounds like ites gone.

    cheers

Yeah like Scott said, the carb needs a rebuild. Autobarn should have them in stock, if not they can order them. They cost $40-$50 to do it yourself. It can be a bit tricky, but if you're not sure, you can take it to a carb specialist and they could do it for around $100-$150 I'm not too sure.
I got quoted around $150 for mine or he was going to charge $250 for a changeover.
