ok here goes my son just got a vk 6 efi dual fuel.
the fuse rail was rs so i got one of those rail replacement boards .
my intention was to not to worry about the lpg side of things just yet.
just get the car running on petrol.
but now the fuel pump is on all the time i have to pull the fuse to stop it.
any ideas on how i can fix this problem.
its maybe part of the lpg system control i dont no.
On most dual fuel cars there is a fuel and LPG solenoid which switch on and off depending on what is running. So say if you switch it to gas, it should switch off the fuel solenoid.
On VK's the fuel pump for some reason is always running (when the car is starting/running), that's why it should have a solenoid connected to the fuel line. What I did was took out the fuel solenoid and wired up the (complicated) fuel pump relay so the fuel pump only turns on when I switch it to petrol. If you want, I will see if I can remember which wire on the switch turns on/off the fuel pump.
Post what your setup is. Do you have a fuel line solenoid?
I replied to your relay thread and you didn't even thank me for helping you.![]()
