Hi was wondering if anyone could tell me if 140rwhp is good for a 304 its dual fuel but dont now if it was run on gas or unleaded. The mechanic who is a friend of mine ran it on a old dyno with dials instead of graphs he aparantly only took the car to 100ks.Car has a slipping trimatic which annoys the crapout of me and extractors thats all i know about it.Sometimes it feels quick and gives my brothers vx ecotec a run for its money but other times it seems lazy one time it struggled to beat an old beat up looking vh wagon
it could be the fact that you are loosing so much power from your slipping trans all of your power isn't getting to the tyres (is just reving like a stuffed clutch you get slower and slower)
Get you trans fixed then see what it is like
That is an excellent rwhp number for a 304, considering they were only rated at 160hp at the flywheel when they first came out.Originally Posted by azza009
By my calculation, your engine would be making 185hp at the flywheel, which is 25 more than standard. It could even be more if your gearbox is buggered.
