Default What tail lights will fit into a VB?

Hey everyone, I know the questions never end (damn Juzza lol) but I'm just wondering if it's possible to install VH, VK or VL rear tail lights into a VB? I know VC ones just go straight in but it looks like the VH/VK-VL ones physicly won't fit into the holes?

Can anyone who's seen it done or done it confirm this?

    Thanks for reading, cheers!!

Yes the VH-VL tailight do fit into VBs. My mate had VK tailights in his SL/E a few years ago.

Thanks mate, that's fantastic news.. do I need to replace the globes/loom section at the back or just remove old tails, install new ones, screw bulbs in and it should work?

Also another quick Q, is it easy to remove/install the tail lights? I recall we had a VH once and the tail lights were siliconed in :| Is that only because that one was rooted or are they all siliconed in?

    Cheers!

EDIT: Also I remember the VK/VL have a centre garnish where the number plate goes, is there anything to consider here? Would the centre garnish bolt in? Where would I put the number plate then? lol *confused*

Why not put the VB ones back in? IMHO, they look better than any of the later ones.

It's got VC ones in there atm I think :| It's just a matter of personal taste, I like the look of the VH more than the VB, but would like to see how it looks with some different ones in there. I've got a pair of VB ones over-tinted (they're pure black and very defective) but the VL berlina has some dark ones that are legal and let the proper amount of light through.. I don't know I'm just tossing up ideas

The only reason I ask is because it doesn't look like they would fit is all, VL ones look more angular at the edges but I'm still going to try

EDIT: My bro has an old pair of taillights from his VL I'll do some investigating next time I get around there

You'll need to remove the chrome trims around your existing taillights. The VL trims will fit on your car, but I reckon it'll look crap unless you put the VK/VL bumper on there as well. Then you'll need to put the VK front....then this..... then that.... It could get really expensive really quickly...

No they all have the same loom/connections. So in turn it should work.

They was siliconed in cause they had them removed and the gasket has broke. This is what most ppl do cause the gasket can be hard to get hold of at times!.

Now you said your going VH tailights?. If so that means you have to remove the chrome trim around the VB tailights. Also might have to remove the bits that hold the plastic clips on too.

The tail lights from the VB through to the VL are interchangable
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't

We've got the VH front on the VB now, you can not tell from the front that it is a VB at all.
