How do u remove the parts to get to the blinker switch mine snaped off and have no idea how to even get to it.
Oh yeah its on a Vk.
Sweet Thanks for that
Ok, Here goes!
Requires:
Steering wheel puller.
Philips head screw driver.
1. Remove the horn pad by taking out the two screws at the back of the wheel and removing the horn wire connection.
2. Remove the steering wheel locknut and wheelnut.
3. Remove the steering wheel using a puller. Mark the position of the wheel on the shaft before taking the wheel off. You might be able to pull the wheel off without a puller using some WD40 and pulling pretty hard, pretty unlikely though.
4. Remove the screws from the cover on the lower part of the column and remove the cover.
5. Unclip the 2 wiring harnesses, 1grey and 1black.
6. At the indicator switch there are 4 screws, 1silver and 3black that retain the whole unit. Undo all of these if your replacing the whole thing or just the silver one if your just replacing the indicator arm.
7. Remove the switch and pull the wiring up through the lock cylinder housing.
8. Fit the new part in the reverse order.
9. Make sure the steering wheel is in the correct position or it will be off axis while your driving. Tighten the steering wheel nut to 22Nm if you've got a torque wrench.
