hi ive got a 308 vb project.and the blinkers are really slow just wondering has any one had this problem before and what you did 2 fix it
thanx
i had slow blinkers in my everydayer the mighty peugeot (now now, dont laugh...) its because of a bad earthing problem.
Bad earth(earth is bolted near the top of radiator-black wires) or failing flash relay(Fuse box)
were is the flasher can
Flasher can is the thing you can hear "clicking" when you indicate (tick tick tick tick tick tick) It is under the dash on most models of car you will have to lay on the drivers side floor and reach behind the dash and feel around for it, it is small and cylinder shaped.
may have a too strong of a fuse in there mate mite be slowing the curent down....other wise earthing..... welll im guessing cos a fast set of flashers is a blown or missing indercater....lol

Click Scales if Good Advice Been Given
fuse wont restrict current flow, unless its too small amps, in which case, it will usually blow. only thing to do wiht a fuse restricting current flow will be a bad connection in fuse holder.
as others have said, check earthing, and maybe replace the flasher can.
i tune tha lighds on thay dont bink at all whats the go??
Low Voltage being provided from a dodgy battery/alternator....
Had the Reg die on the weekend on my VB V6 and on the way home it would flash like once every 10 seconds, was only running on about 8volts....
Having said this, your car probably shouldnt be starting if a dodgy battery or charge were to blame...
Anyways, my 2c
I hate electricals they are painful.
My VK did this and a connentor in the boot (right side panel) cracked causing a dead short on the earth wire. Once bypassed it works fine.
somehow google manages to dig up the archived threads and people just jump on and chuck in their 2 bits.
