VK Manual Shift Plate - STILL LOOKING

Greetings All,

Still hunting for a shift plate to suit the VK hi-rise console. Respayed all the dash and console in Curelean blue last week but still have this gaping hole in the console.

Somebody must have one somewhere! Any colour will do, boot not needed..

look on ebay their is couple there going for a pretty penny you could always make i did and it looked trick

mate I made one out of some firly thin ally sheet metal I got from Bunnings? (I think)
Just measure the size/dimensions of the original shifter plate hole and the hole you'll need to cut for the shifter boot. The shifter plate isn't perfectly retangular and has a slight taper towrd the rear if your vk console is the same as mine, so be sure to measure and cut acurately so it fits neatly.
I even cut the little tabs at the front into mine so it stays in there proply, looks good in alloy and goes with my other ally bits in the car like handbrake surround, gearknob ect. (Im a machinist which helps too!)
If you're clever you can incoprporate little pockets in the metal to hold sunnies, coins ect. as the plate does waste a fair bit of space there. I'm thinking of doing another and adding a small leather pouch or somthing for this, but when I've got time, too many other things on the go with this damn car!
