every now and then when i turn my VK off, and go to start it again say 5 minutes later, it wont even turn over, the accessories come on, but the engine wont make a sound.. then about 5 minutes after that i turn the key and it starts perfectly. it seems to only happen if ive had my parkers on before i turned the car off.
cheers.
Could be the starter motor solinoid(spelling is off) up the creek.

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
Your battery could be screwed, it may not be charging right.

Do what SL/ENut said then check your alternator, spark plugs..
A fuse could even be lose..
I was more thinking of a possible dodgy neutral start switch. If it happens again, put the stick through gears and back into park or into neutral and see if it starts right away.

The problem does sound like the starter motor, i know with a manual u could try putting her in gear and rocking her back and forth a few times then try starting her, but if u own a auto i'm not sure if this would have the same effect - Overall it would pin point that ur issue is the starter motor. "starter motor/wires"
i used to have this problem.. my barrel was out fo alignment and seemed to love going to a point between "start" and "on"..

im a leech
had this problem also
was a combination of rooted barrel, and a stuffed EST system, one of the sensors died or something, the autoelec told me it was a waste of time diagnosing, and i never looked back
you can get a NICE barrel from repco for about $40, and they are far superior to the genuine holden unit
