Okay my VK vacuum lines are a complete mess, not only are two which lead to the engine completely snapped but also a five way connector that goes onto the manifold has snapped clean off too.
Here comes the kicker too, what I think is the fuel line (a gold line that goes into the carby) has snapped away at the end so it can't be reconnected to the carby. Can I replace any of these parts with aftermarket parts? Is anyone able to help me get this running before I pull out more of my hair?
I basically can't get to any spare parts places etc without this car so any magyver like tips will be much appreciated.
Hmmm the hoses shouldn't pose a problem it should still run without the emissions stuff but the fuel line is a bit more tricky. you have to be super carful with the fuel line installation and removal.
Go to the wreckers and get a new fuel line section that runs from the fuel pump to the carby.
Hmmm don't have any macguyver type tips for ya but get someone to drive ya if possible.
Yeah mate get those parts yeah need from the wreakers, it'll be cheap as & in better condition then u think.
You could possible print out that picture ifu wanted to and show them yourself, that way you can get things done quicker![]()
Don't you need the 5 way adapter from the top of the manifold for the car to function? otherwise there is a hole in the manifold. Is it possible to replace the metal fuel line with a rubber one? Does anyone have a manifold with these parts for sale? Or a fuel line?
I've got a blue 202 with the same setup mate, just get the parts from the wreakers and ask about the valve piece from the mainfold.. i wouldnt block it with a bolt!
As for your fuel line im not sure, but i dont see why you couldn't aslong as you kept it away from the engine block, so it doesn't melt...
Dang mate if you tell the wreakers you'll take the parts off one of there cars yourself, you'll get it for cheaper!!!
Some plastic/rubber bits from the manifold adapter could have snapped off into the manifold, does it matter if they are in the manifold? Can it damage the engine?
Maybe melt, clog or catch on fire..
Or nothing at all... i would get those pieces out though...
Just thought id post here again to let 202 owners "Blue or Black" that the above picutres are handy if you want to have an idea on where some hoses go, but keep in mind black's have a few extras parts..
