just wanting should i put in a 350 chev or a 308 into my vk?![]()
350 would go off mate
but i don't know if it would fit..
308. Cost over $4000 just to get the kit to fit a 350 in a VK.

a 350 chev would be pretty nuts but im pretty sure it would cost a lot to put into a vk. all the modyfing etc. as the never came out with a 350 chev. what about a stroked 308? say to 355 or 383?
308, 350 chevs are hard cause some stuff is reversed for LHD.. but yeah.. 355 Stroker!!!
and u could always stick the efi top onto ur 308 shortblock for better fuel efficency.
atleast i think u can do that. someone correct me if im wrong.
cheers
rohan
injected 304. someone was telling me they have more torque than the 350 chevs. and even if they dont they are way eaiser to fit.

wrecking VL COMMODORE 5 speed
FOR SALE : supra 5 speed box suite holden v8 $800
The 350 will require you to either stuff around with the steering; raise the engine up about 4"; remove the oil pump and mount it externally. The holden or a late chev like a ls1 would be the go as these have external oil pumps and that allows you to get the engine down nice and low in the engine bay.
i would go 350 or 355
well th 350 will cost about the same as the 308 here in nz and the price of gas going up they are becoming cheaperOriginally Posted by vh sl/x

but then again the 350 is lighter for its power compered to the 308Originally Posted by VK_308

was always going to mount the oil pump externally and sit the motor a bit higher or a carb spacer to have the air cleaner out the bonnetOriginally Posted by Daza

No they don't. They have a complete different engine mounts. Also the starter motor are on the wrong side which will cause steering issues

electric radiator??What is that??They are what you use to warm the house not make ya car go faster
guess you the only one that dont know what i ment but a radiater that anit driven directly off the engine just off the battary so the engine doesnt have to work as hard to get the same powerOriginally Posted by vk383
