ok, today i have to decide on a car, my choises were a fully reconditioned vk, new zorst (stock size tho 2") rebuild gearbox, new suspension, literally all the work then drove out of garage and parked, 3000, blue slip, but excelent condiotion, even new efi system, the other choise was a vp-s, stock, 260 000kms, auto, v6, new diff, for 2000 with blue slip, so guys whats ur opinion cause i have to make a choise by thursday.
(by the way i posted this on both vk-and vp forums, just to measure up lol)
you know you gotta go the vk is it auto or manual? whats happening with the other one you're doin' up?

i didnt say a calais? its an vp-spack
VK That's all i will say![]()
Go for the newer car they are excellent value for money. Always get the newest car you can, but having said that its not for everyone there are a select group who believe a particular model has more benefits and merit over a newer model. So its up to you mate.
If the VK has receipts and thus a warranty for the motor and gearbox factor this into your choice.
A VP S for $2000 is good value if it is mechanically good. The extra $1000 saved could be used for mods or to fix any minor problems (or tyres, wheels etc).
With the VK, if the work you mentioned has been done, it may put you more at ease knowing the parts are fresh and therefore less likely to breakdown.
Do you know if it was a full rebuild or just rings and bearings?
In the end it comes down to which you would prefer driving.
Sorry not much help but if it were me I'd go for the VK because of the work done.
