It means the car was brought in because of recall of some type, there were four for the VL but I'm not sure what the VK one is.. the VL ones were:

    Problem: STEERING KNUCKLE CRACKS
    Make: HOLDEN
    Model: Commodore VL, Calais
    Variant:
    Date Range: 1987-1988
    VIN Ranges: J145736, J153237 L257205, L268578
    Status: Inactive
Defect: In-plant investigation revealed quench cracks in steering knuckle forgings received from ANI National Forge.
Consequences: Potential loss of steering control.
Corrective action: Inspect for cracks and, if evident, replace steering knuckle and tube assembly.
    Notif. Date: 22/07/1988
    DOTARS No.: R88/032
    Supplier Name: HOLDEN
    Campaign No.: 88-H-02

    Problem: BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER FAILURE
    Make: HOLDEN
    Model: Commodore VL, Calais
    Variant:
    Date Range: 1987
    VIN Ranges: L235800, L255100 J124000, J144000
    Status: Inactive
Defect: Incorrect crimping of the joint between the front and back shells of the brake booster. Vehicles with 3.0E (non-turbo) engine are affected.
Consequences: The two shells may come apart. As the brake master cylinder is attached to and supported by the front shell, function of the master cylinder is lost.
Corrective action: Inspect crimping and replace booster if crimping found incorrect.
    Notif. Date: 28/08/1987
    DOTARS No.: R87/017
    Supplier Name: HOLDEN
    Campaign No.: 87-H-02

    VIN Ranges: L220743, L242128 J104955, J132000
    Status: Inactive
Defect: Power steering assemblies supplied by James N. Kirby may have been produced with incorrect attachement of inner tie rod end housing to the steering rack.
Consequences: Inner tie rod ball joint can become detached from the steering rack, causing a reduction in steering control.
Corrective action: Inspect and replace if defective.
    Notif. Date: 23/12/1986
    DOTARS No.: R86/016
    Supplier Name: HOLDEN
    Campaign No.: 86-H-03
