VK problems - HELP!

Hey all

My VK Calais has a problem which im hoping someone here can help me with.

It doesnt go over 16km/hour and wont rev over 1500 rpm.. before this it backfired n had a bad odur. It does start, so i dont think its a spark issue.

its a 202 on dedicated LPG..

any ideas?

If it picks up air after the AFM does it have an air filter there? I don't even know how a gas system really works, does it have a gas pump? I dunno LOL is the pressure of the gas tank enough to send the gas to the mixer alone?

Does she run fine on fuel? Could be the fuel.lpg lines.. Maybe even carby.

I hope you havent been pushing her to hard

shes EFI, so no carby, and dedicated LPG, ive been tinkering with the lpg mixture and its making improvements..

now i think shes not getting enough LPG.. airflow is fine.. but shes got no go

itd take literlly 5 min to reach 70km/h

Has your engine suffered a major backfire out through your airflow meter? If it has, I dare say you've damaged it and it's not opening fully allowing air into your engine to burn with your LPG.

ys it did backfire, however the lpg takes the air before the airflow meter.. its current airflow meter is f****d and i didnt change it as it uses lpg only.

give it a go on petrol with a replaced a/f meter and see how you go... this method will round down your prob letting you know if its the gas system or a/f meter, it should be only one of those two to cause the prob...

turns out it was the airflow meter. All good now
