Well when I was at the wreckers today a dude was telling me that he used a Commodore 4cyl VC carby on his 6cyl VH and apparently for fuel usage instead of 450 – 400 standard on usage you could achieve 600 but winning in the fuel side means you lose horsepower, which I find as a down side.
Word is not many people know about this...
Sorry to sound a discordant note but normally when you put a carburettor jetted for a small engine on a larger engine and particularly with more cylinders, it draws more air through the carburettor which means more fuel sucked out through the jets. I don't understand how this would improve fuel consumption ie less.Originally Posted by Goon
I thought it would run to lean and damage the motor??

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
I think it would run too lean but you can fit a Varajet II off a Camira or just buy a rebuild kit for a varajet for a Camira and use the jet out of it
cheers
