Hi, can anyone tell me what colour wire comes from the standard distributor on a carby / trimatic 308 Calias to drive the tacho. The car came with no dizzy and I have put an all in one aftermarket one on. The new dizzy is now powered by the original coil wire. Is the old loom to the original dizzy a 2 or 3 wired plug? I cannot find reference to the wiring in the factory manual or aftermarket manual. Any ideas out there? Cheers Rossco
I forgot to mention - its a VK Calais
check my site I have compete colour coded wiring diagrams.

Thanks mate. I have the factory manuals with colour coding for the Vk but I am still stumped about the original plug that goes into the standard dizzy. If I can track down the right colour wire I can hook it up to the new dizzy. I will look again at the book. It might be time for an auto elec visit, or just put an aftermarket tacho on. Cheers for the advice
This is they way i connected my tacho to my 202.
Red wire to 12v
Black to earth
Green to coil
White is for light.
It might help mate..
Brown wire was the one I needed. All fixed. Cheers for the advice
