could a 3.3 efi elect dash read a 253?

hey wussup, at the momment i have a VK with a 3.3 efi with a electronic dash. but the dash doesnt seem to read my km'ph only my revs. i have a spare 253 out of a vh that i was thinking of dropping in my VK n pissn off the 3.3 litre. would my elect dash from my 3.3 litre read km/ph n revs on a 253 v8? thanks to anyone who can help me with this issue.

Well no it wont actually, but with the right amount of $$$ anythings possible. The "starwars" dash works from picking up signals from sensors for each guage. So in theory it could be possible,

What state do you live in? In VIC it is illegal to put a motor from an older car into a newer model.

Just stick with the 3.3 the 253 isn't worth bothering with in my opinion, if it was a 308 that would be different.

Alright...

The electric "starwars" dash uses electric speed senders, so there 1 problem. Another is the dash also checks a s**tload of sensors, so unless you install and connect them properly, itll beep at least 7 times upon start. And another is the 253 puts out differents revvs and kms then a 3.3 so.. therefore.. itll be inaccurate.

As upwaepn said, if your in vic its illegal anyway..

stick with the 202 mate, work it a bit and itll go well
