Maximum speed from 6cyl vh

does anyone know what the maximum speed a 202 blue motored vh sedan will reach.

i went for a drive today - we have open limits on the highway in nt - and found a nice stretch of road to open her up on.

got to 160 the first time, then 165 the next. is there anymore in it?

and to clarify - it was for a whole 30 seconds if that, with no traffic. the rest of the time it was on 140.

Not sure, depends alot on diff and gear ratio's aswell. But last time I was in NT My vl reached 180 and had more but I wasn't too keen.

well..when new... i had a VC 202 4 speed SL/X
and I got it up to about 190kmh on the speed bowl at Lang Lang
that was it...flat......

mines a 3 speed auto.

auto??manual???
shouldn't make any difference at high speed..the auto should pretty
much lock up (assuming the converter is OK mechanically)
and provided the auto and manual have the same diff ratio....
should go the same speed....

My dad has a standard RED VB 4 speed(M20 diff 3:36.1) and it did get up to 180.But it reves its guts out!.

and the reason it only went 180 is the diff..its a 3.36:1
the normal 3.08:1 should go about 190

I have had my VK up to ~245km/hr 5th Gear might squeeze a little more outta it. My mate was riding his M/bike next to me to measure the speed.
Mines an Blue Printed EFI 202 3.08 diff
