Why spend $$$ on your VB,VC,VH,VK and then sell it?

Lots of ads are always floating around for 'hotted' up VB-VK commos etc with all the body kits or not and snazzy chrome bits and pieces and detailed this and that and people end up putting them up for sale expecting more than 10 grand for it.

Opinions to why people do a billion hours of work and then sell?

Mid life crisis Some old dude buys one then has had enough of the beauty after sometime.

Some ppl may buy a better commodore and think there old one isnt good enough no more.

Well the old skool cool Commodores, the VB-VKs, are the in year flavour. Also ppl think that putting a hot V8, manual and they ask for a stupid price. If its a rare car then fair enough. If not why bother, you won't get the magic 10k price.
