Are you with it with 202's?

Ok. My brothers 202 VK. On gas. Motor running OK. Every 20 seconds or so, something switches on for a bit and then off. It's not the air con. Any ideas what it possibly is? The motor runs and then you can hear the motor kick'in just slightly for a few seconds. You don't notice it unless you are standing over the box.

It's a 202 with a Varajet and gas box.

thermo? most likely some sort of cooling fan..

yea as VkCalaisDaz has said, my guess would be his thermatic fans, assuming his car has them, turning on when the temp switch reaches a certain temp, then turning off again when the temp levels drop slightly. This would happen more often when the car is stationary at idle right? (well that'd be the only time you would be able to hear it anyway!)
But anyway, if is indeed the thermos, there's nothing to worry about mate

I think it might be the switching of the extra fan, but it doesn't come on. I don't know if the fan is buggered or what. But maybe the switching works but the fan is stuffed somehow.

Could be the air con fan controled by temp just like a thermo fan would.

At first I thought it was the air con switching on and off but the air con isn't turned on.
