Working on my bros. barge again today. Degreased it yesterday and today started it and it was running like a barge. I did cover the dizzy when I cleaned it but not the cap and leads.

Anyway, if yours runs like a complete barge after a degrease, get some WD40 or RP7 out and spray all the contacts on the inside of the cap and pull the leads off the cap and spray the terminals and inside the right angle leads. Spray a bit in the dizzy too.

That basically fixed all the horrid running of it. Now she is humming along again. Next time I will cover the dizzy cap too.
