Hi
I've just bought a VK with the 202 EFI black motor and a 5-speed. Its on a yellow sticker but mechanically is ok. At low revs under hard acceleration the engine cuts out in every gear. Is this just because the motor is old and worn or may be be a specific problem that can be fixed? At mid-high revs it doesn't miss a beat. The car is pretty much meant for a thrash car so i don't want to spend much on it. Any help would be appreciated,
Bowie

Most likely cause will be the Air Flow Meter so test that first. Next it could be your dizzy, I had a problem once with mine where at certain RPM/load conditions the engine would cut out, it ended up being the bottom bearing in the dizzy had failed and caused major float in the shaft.
