FYI, the main complaint I've heard about moulded car carpets are fitment problems. Not sure though if that is more a symptom of the varying body dimensions of the older cars.
No, it needs to be moulded carpet to fit snug on the floor and over the centre bump in the middle of the car.
There is a jerk on ebay selling carpets for about $230 whereis the Knox joint has it for about $150 delivered.

Also TruFit carpets they are pretty much the only company doing one piece carpets the rest do a 2 piece.

also auto barn has moulded carpet for i think about $280 or so, it comes in 2 parts. and trust me house carpet does not work, a mate tried it in his car and no chance waste of time and mony
