Alright. I have front and back lowered springs. The front I am happy with but the back is bugging me a bit. The back is supposed to have lowered springs. All I know is that they are red coloured springs and I think the back sits up a bit too high for my liking. Probably 2 inches too high maybe. What options do I have. I don't know if the springs are the Pedders because they are red coloured or not. I want the top of the tire to be about where the guard is when looking at it.
What about panhard rods? What use would it be for my situation? I think it's just a stock one from my understanding.
I have attached the front and rear wheel pics. Left is front, right is back
Thanks.

I should also note that there is nothing wrong with my struts, shocks or springs. They are gold to be honest. They are in very good order with no sagging at all. It's just the back seems to be too high for my liking.![]()
ALthough I have read your second post are you bearing caps on your front struts ok the rubber or nolathan should be dead flat if the centre is rising up they are stuff and need replacing causing the front end to be lower than what it should be.
My VK run 50mm lowered King springs with all the suspension alignment correct. The Photo of my car on the front page of my site will give you an idea of ride height.
My personal experiences with pedders suspension havent been good I havent been impressed with their products. Definitely check out Whiteline I am running pretty much all whiteline suspenion now except for the springs (still king) and I am impressed with their quality and knowledge of making a car handle and still ride nice. They have some great tech articles on their website www.whiteline.com.au
As for a Panhard rod, without one your diff would sway left to right as the trailing arms cant really prevent all that motion. As the rear suspension compresses your diff will move to the right of the car. When I lowered my car 50mm me diff was sitting roughly 25mm over too far.
You can fit an adjustable panhard rod to solve the initial problem but there isnt an easy way to solve the diff moving as the suspension compresses but under normal circumstances it isnt a great deal anyway.
I run an oncar adjustable Panhard rod and it was very easy to adjust and install. The off car adjustable is just a little harder. The whiteline rods have a kink in them to allow for extra exhaust clearance, if you want to run a 3" tail pipe you must install one of these rods to clear the exhaust.

Thanks for the reply.
I have thought seriously about getting a pair of adjustable strut tower mounts (Nolathane of course). That way at least I have some decent alignment options. I only buy Nolathane bushes now. I am spewing I didn't replace my radius rod bushes with Nolathane ones but I have replaced my front lower trailing arms with Nolathanes and I just need to do the back, link bushes and the front and rear sway bar mounts. The tighter the better.
I saw the pics on your site where you got new rods and bushes in the kit. That is a complete (ok not complete) swine to do. Having use of my cousins pit helps. We sort of made up a tool consisting of the dish washer and a bolt and hand pressed it in that way. The rest we did on the hydraulic press.
Back to the original post. Thanks for your comments.![]()
Forgot to ask. When you replaced your back springs, did the springs come with the rubber/plastic spring seats or do they come as an optional extra. Do you know what I mean. The springs sit inside the cup.
When I did my suspension I put my car up on 4 stands and removed the complete suspension, diff the lot. To remove the radius arm bushes use a hacksaw blade to saw off the rubber bush on the front flush with the crossmember then push it out through the back, too easy.
The New whiteline bushes are a 2 piece bush are are easy to install.
Ok the rubber insulators maybe still available via holden details below
Part Number DESC QTY
8937167 INSULATOR - LOWER - REAR SPRING 2
90075622 INSULATOR - UPPER - REAR SPRING 2
Else try a suspension place such as whiteline

Noticed this when I lowered my VK. We had to lower the front 3" & the rear 3 1/2" to get it to sit level, looked sweet though.
Sorry, I just remembered that back when we did it(that long ago, jeez) & it was 3 coils & 3 1/2 coils with the blow torch, not inches, just had those numbers in my head.
get your spings compressed (speeling not much sleep last night)
or you could go on ebay and buy some super-lows for like 150 bucks for a set of 2 springs
The problem is I don't want my car to look like a boat.
When the back has a load it isn't that bad.
