sitting in my driveway is my brothers 5sp vk v8 and hes never had it on the dyno as its unregistered, but its a carby forced 5lt stroked and bored to 6lt, lsd, blue printed, quad barreled 720 primary/820 secondary holley, i dont really know what cam it has but he said its had like 8k worth of cam work, 3 inch straight back with 3 inch extractors, now im a beginner with my vr v6 berlina and dont really know power, quarter mile times that well, but anyone care to suggest a rough power output and 1/4mile run?
ah come on, i just want like a ball park figure of what wot ive been strapin up the street and back. 200kw? 300kw?400?500? shrugs shoulders
How long is a piece of string, there is so much bullsh!t slung about engines without knowing whats inside it. A ball park guess @ the fly would be around 370hp & 400ft-lb torque.
With actual info of the following I could give you a computer calulated flywheel estimate.
Bore & stroke
Head info including porting, valve sizes, airflow
Compression ratio & combustion chamber size
inlet manifold used
exhaust
camshaft, lift for inlet & exhuast, duration, lobe centre, valve overlap, timing, lifter type. If its a hydrolic cam, solid or a roller.
cheers
Scott
