    Default Front seat removal.

    Hey All

Just wondering if anybody has any pictures or diagrams on how to remove the front seats in a 1981 VC ? maybe info from vb -vk would have to be very similar? Can i remove the hole seat its self in 4 nuts? i've done abit of investigation and maybe these are square ?

Anywayz i'm keen on giving my beauty a makeover and clean up in the inside and of coarse follow up pictures 4 sure !

Yeah i took most of the interior out of mine a month ago, there's the 4 bolts, undo them then the whole thing lifts out as one piece. Just be careful though, i sheared off one of the bolts (hasn't been undone in 23 years), and then they're a bitch to clean up.

Don't even go there about nuts and bolts that haven't even moved in years , my hands have marks to prove it even with WD40 or a bar..

    But cheers mate

Yeah it's 4 bolts. It's a simple job. While you have taken them out, make sure the seat belt holder bolts are done up tight. You don't want them loose.

yeah 4 bolts per seat. spray them all with wd40 the day before. Then slide the seat right back for the front 2 then slide it forward for the rear 2. Make sure you use a ring spanner and have patience.
