Fitting VS door pods to VK

I have scored a couple of front door speaker pods with the map pockets out of a VSII.
Has anyone had a go at them and give me any pointers on fitting them to a VK front door trim. I'm worried that the weight will pull the trim out of shape and I'm not sure how to fasten them to the frame of the door without ugly screws being exposed.
Any advice would be appreciated.

take off the door trim, and bolt them thru from behind

just use self-tappers and ure laughing, they will cut cleanly right thru the trim

you may like to get VHT spray to get them the right colour also
