Was reading another post about stroking a 308 to a 355 >
Just wondering, is it worth stroking a 202? black motor, vk. Lol, dont laugh if thats stupid, i dont really know, thats why im asking lol. I mean, perfomance cams, lifters, valve spring kit, be a decent boost anyway wouldnt it? whats the best way to go? BOTH? lol

The best way to go is to ditch the 202 and to a transplant of either a V6 or Injected 304.
Years ago there were stroker kits avalible for a 202 which brought it up to around 220cui using a modified Ford 4.1L crank from memory. Really for the expence, work, drivability, fuel consumption of an engine line that your better off going to something newer engine wise.
cheers

lol, yeah i got extractors and a 2.5in exhaust on her, one of the best sounding 202's i've heard not to boast. lol. yeah unfortunatly im a p plater in NSW, and the laws here are such that i cant drive a V8, a turbo'd, or a Supercharged car. It's bs!! Ban shit drivers, not fast cars. lol. The V6 idea is abit out of my price range, would be nice though. Im just gunna make my car look and sound really nice with the 202 EFI in it. Im looking at a cam/lifter upgrade in nea future, so i will take the the old girl as far as it'll go with a 202. Prolly get an electric radiator etc. I heard VL diffs go good in em. But then ud loose top end speed as far as i can tell. As soon as it legal im gunna drop in a 308.

dude have you ever heard of the exhemption? its a form you apply for at the rta that states you can drive high performance vehicles and all you gonna do is make up some lame excuse and pay 30bucks. i hear it works better if your with a parent so if you were to give it a try go with ur old man or sumthing. its just a scheme for the rta to make money just for a piece of paper that says you can drive high performance vehicles, they brang in the exhemption because most late model cars are high performance, meaning p platers cant buy em. think about it....Originally Posted by Mr Robbo - The General

lol, yeah mate, i have definatly looked into this before. When the laws were first introduced this was the case. Now it seems they've tightened up. Now you need to have 3 excuses. The best way to do it is to have the car in one of your parents name and say that its the family car. Thats generally the only way they'll let u. Its a prick of a thing. I've looked at a few ways and in my case i CANT get an exemption. lol, my circumstances dont let me, in pretty well any way. SUX. (hasn't stopped me just driving what i want., i just take the p plates off and drive the old boy's V8 Premier...when i can pry the keys from his cold dead hands. lol)
