Electronic Dizzy installation in a VK

Gday, just wondering if I can put an electronic dizzy from a 6 cyl (from a holden HX I think?) into my VK's 202 black to replace the rubbish points dizzy? I have been looking at the guide over at: http://gallery.oldholden.com/ReaperH...onic_Ignition/ but that's for the blue motor's electronic dizzy (yeah I know it's for the red 202, but it has the theory down, right?) and most pages on this forum say to get the blue HEI dizzy from a VH or a VK EFI. So, can it be done?

i got the same engine as you, does it gain power with the elect dizzy? coz i also have the chatty points dizzy. im looking for as many mods as possible. ill keep an eye on this thread coz you now put that idea in2 my head

why does your vk have a points dizzy? they usually come with EST.

vk efi has electronic dissy std
vk carby has nothing in it its est

My mistake, it is an EST based system, can I use any 6 cylinder holden's dizzy for the black 6 cyl engine in my VK carby?

you need an electronic distributor. either from a vk efi or a vh i believe.

Okay got it workin sweet as ! just wondering though, what do I connect the distributors vacuum advance to?
