Now this is work in progress. I need to respray my boot and also get new 6mm parcel shelf MDF and cerulean colour parcel shelf carpet from Knox Auto Carpets then I can install my super Kenwood 6x9 speakers. I need spacers because my dang gas tank is in the way.
I also need some new black boot carpet from the same place.

lol, mine sthe same, back speakers missing, its pretty good though the interior in mine, in good nic. I love the fuel tank in the boot. I want one, was it hard to install? Or is that gas, yeah prolly on LPG is it?

yeah m8. Gas would be the go in my commo, lol, that sucka likes the juice. Being a 202, it could be ALOT WORSE lol. In a year or so i plan to install a 308 into it, i want that on gas. I might just have an extra Fuel tank in the boot while the 202 is in it. Like a reserve tank. It'd save me filling up once a weekend lol. (which is pretty well all the girl gets driven).

not sure if you'd call this a unfinished car shot, but i've been working on my car here and there. Most recent mod would be this one. The car is still a work in progress.. But being a fulltime student kinda screws you cash wise....
Rebuilt parcel shelf.
Made it out of 15mm think mdf. Used the shitty parcel shelf my VH had as a guide. Then cut it smaller because of the thinkness of the wood. I've finished the job so i'll post another pic of the rear.. Cut holes for the spacers, put down 5mm thick foam, then a swade fabric. Pushed the spacers for 6x9s through from the bottom. Used tacks to hold the fabric on the edges and a staple gun underneath.

Hey Guyes here is some eye candy for you. Im nearly finished my VK project all I have left in finish installing the electric windows, finish retrimming the car and put it back together.

Coming along great Scott. Did you do the prep work on the body yourself? Surely you're going to put in a new washer bottle - everything else looks so shmick. Are they VX seats in there? Just wondering if the drivers seat sits dead centre to the steering wheel. When I first put VR seats in mine the drivers seat had a 20mm offset to the right-hand side. Makes for an annoying driving position.
I have built & dont the entire car myself except for some machine work, and spraying the car, although I did prep the body myself, stripping back to bare metal, prime up rub down ready to paint.
I have brand new genuine washer bottles for the car but I wont be installing one until I go to put the car on the road.
Yeah the seats are, going to need alot of work to get them in I was to use the electrics on the seat so I need to re fabricate seat rails for them as the seat rails are too long and dont have the correct mounting points and are not interchangable due to the electrics.
I want those seats in my car so I dont mine doing the work.

Just curious. How much does it cost for spraying a car?
I have a air compressor and gun and I was thinking about doing my car 'one day' as there is a bit of paint webbing on the body but overall the body is pretty good for it's age. I have always wondered how I would get a super smooth polished finish. Any paint tips? I am doing my boot lid soon.
Yeah I am, the new seats are getting retrimmed, I am getting new door trims & rear seat retrimmed.
All up it cost me around $1200 to spray the entire car in 2pac using Spies Hecker paint, including door jams, around the inside of the doors, inside of the bootlid, inside of the bonnet, engine bay. The car was stripped back to bare metal dents were pushed and filed (only a couple), Then sprayed the car in highfill primer and rubbed it back twice. It was then painted in 3 stages in the spray booth with the inside of the doors, bonnet, bootlid, body kit, grills, car door jams being painted first. Next the doors were refitted, along with the bonnet, bootlid was painted off the car but painted whilst we painted the car.
Basic fundamentals, Preparation is everything dont cut corners in your preparation I rubbed the primer down with 240 by hand dry (shaddow coat) then re rubbed it with 600wet (shaddow coat), when you spray do it in a clean booth, we thoughly cleaned the booth, changed the filters (it was timed to the filters needed changing anyway) the booth was thoughly cleaned again.
Before the car went into the booth it was thoughly cleaned to make sure there was no dust that could get blown into the paint. All masking points & surfaces were wiped down with non lint rags with Wax & grease remover twice then the car was masked up then it was wiped down again.
Please dont use this as a complete howto as i havent covered everything etc but it took 2 people 3x 12hour days just to prep and paint the car after I had rubbed everything down.

thinking of buying a vc sle that is totally set up for a inj. 5 litre and 5 speed. its just missing motor and gearbox.
also it has a ford 9in diff. would this need to be changed for an engineers?
just wondering what i would need to do to get an engineers certificate for it.
You best to talk directly to an engineer, things may vary depending ont he state your located in. Basically if the car has been modified in a structrly sound manner, passes the relevent ADRs.
9" diffs have been put into commodores before so I cant see a reason as long as its mounted in correctly you shouldnt have a problem.
Really your best to talk directly to an engineer, but things like pollution control, brakes, any modified components will need to be checked. I am getting the engineer to completely go over my car and list every modification I have made to the car although it costs more I wont have a problems with police, insurance or any club days I participate in.

injsle thats mad man love that paint job and scott what can i say .... you must be a very poor man after spending all that money looks like you put brand new everything in that what are those brakes you got on there.
Thanks for the comments, I have basically done everything myself except spraying the colour & clear & the motor trimming. The car hasnt actually cost an insane amount of money as I have done pretty much all the work myself.
Parts wise I purchased the majority about 18 months ago and had alot of support of my local dealership it took a guy 2 days to process the parts order.
Brakes have been adapted from a current model munro, It should stop on a 10c pieceThe smallest rims that will fit are 16".

Well how long you reckon is left before its on the road i bet you can't wait to drive it. Any engine mods? what power are looking at? I also wondering what kind of airbox setup you got on it
