Lightbulb Ecotec V6 into a VK

Im not looking to do this anytime soon, im just running ideas around. But an LS1 of just about any type into a VK. I wanna know if its a hard swap. I mean, as far as getting it into the engine bay etc, is it a hard job? I had a mate thats about 35 looking to put an alloytec V6 into a VL> lol cant wait to see if he actually does it, i think he'll find it hard. What are your opinions?

Well there is a kit going for $3000+ to fit in a LS1/LS2/LS7. The kit includes the engine mounts, something to do with the starter motor that puts it on the left side moter, wire loom, headers, some really good stuff really.

But it would be far cheaper to throw in the Ecotec into the VK. Although the VS diff will bolt in, its far to long.

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!

Sorry mate, did u mean WONT bolt in? Yes as far as i knew it will need a shave to fit in, little customising never hurt an ecotec vk though did it? rofl. I love the sound of that. Id rather the V8, but i have access to a cheao VS wrecking in my area, plus NSW p plate law bs.... Its easier to pass a V6. Jesus. My commo will eat everything lol. Monster. I was thinking, pull out the motor, the box (which is an auto... I can get a manual box out of a VP..will this fit?) the taily (which can be cut to fit) and the diff (also a bit of cusstomising needed). Then throw all that onto the VK with a fair bit of cursing on the way id imagine. Oh god.... The digital Dash will be fun to get working... I hope i dont have to get rid of it. They only read up to 200km/h anyway, get the Ecotec VK out on the circuit i wanna see the speedo reading 280 thanks. lol. Then again, could just install a bonnet mounted Speedo and Tacho. Actually get some use out of buying them instead of just putting them on to look good. It would be different i'll give it that.
