hey guys just wondering if u can shed some light for me,. if i pull a 202 out of my VH commodore will i have much trouble putting in a 253 , i am aware of gearbox housing wont fit and exaust all that but how much work will i have to do to the mounts?
You will require the engine mount brackets & V8 engine mounts. Your cross member will not need to be changed.
Any brackets from pretty much VB - VL will be just fine.

thanks for that info, what you also happen to what i would need brake wise? and suspension? if i just get them all from a wrecked VH v8 will it be just fine?
Brake wise I would suggest VL turbo front calipers & a 1inch master cylinder with rear disc brakes. But I think you can get away with your standard ones but it would be a bit scary
Better again look at VT twin spots for the front with a 1" master cyl and rear disc brakes.
Suspension wise, the V8 front springs plus I would upgrade the front sway bar due to the extra weight.

thanks for the quick reply, im gunna change my brakes probly to VL turbo front b4 i put the motor in in case i get it in and wanna drive it strait away which is always the casecan i put i VN diff with rear discs, or would it be alot easier to put in a VK calais?
VN Diff is too wide for the car, but you can swap the VN rear discs onto the VK you will need to change the axel seals to disc brake axel seals and the rest should bolt straight on.
If the car is going to be a good car or a project car I would start hunting around for a VL turbo LSD for the car, they have a good ratio of 3.45:1, or a VL V8 LSD which is a 3.08:1, they have 28 spline axels, 4 pinion LSD hemisphere basically a great diff for the car.

Thanks for that insight, i think im gunna go with the VL V8 diff i like the way that ratio sounds![]()
If you cant get a VL V8 diff buy a VL turbo one and do a ratio change, its not hard and the 3.08 gears are pretty common as they are used in the new model commodres which also run 78 series borgwarner internals
