    Default Engine Noise

    I have a black 202 carby vk as im prolly not the first person to have this problem i thought i would see if anyone nos how to fix it or what causses it. the noise im talking about is the sucking noise my engine makes when i put mi foot on the accelorator makes mi car sound like a vacumn cleaner if no1 nos what i mean ill get a recording and post it thanks guys

    Had this problem with a VK carby that I had. The EFI's can do it too. You either have a vacuum hose off or the little tree that they connect to the exhaust manifold is broken. They are only plastic and they get brittle and usually snap off level with the manifold. Have a look around the exhaust manifold and you should find it.
    When my old VK carby snapped off the the back one I replaced it with a pergeot item. Same thead and was made of brass, just have to drill out the stems to fit your hoses to it.

    Do timing and a tune withthe mixer and idle screw+ gun if u can , sounds like ur mixer screw..

    If you get the sounds on revs eg. the cars isnt moving and your reving.. it might be her just sucking in air or blowing it out... i get the sound sometimes, it sounds pretty neat.
