Hey again guys! just wondering how much modding i would have to do to fit a 350 chev in my 78 vb? i have decided to stip it to its bare parts and rebuild it. any ideas?

probably better off stroking a 308 out to 355 or something, will drop straight in without mods.Originally Posted by V3N0M
cause the 350 is set up for LHD dont have to swap stuff like that over with a 355 stroker
hehe thx. also was wondering where i can get body filler from?? and aprox price... i cant seem to find any round where i am (out in the sticks)

try look at the post 350 or 308 and hemipoweredvk has done 11 350 coversions
All i can say is, go to your local RTA, ask what you can and can't do to put a 350 into your VB.

Like others have mentioned, with your level of knowledge I'd definatly only put a warm 308/4 in there. What you learn from that project will give you a good head start on the skills needed for a 350 conversion down the track a bit. Your question about body filler is very telling of your experience.Originally Posted by V3N0M

if ya wanna do the swap find somewhere that sells moroso sumps for chevs moroso also do pick-ups, there not cheap around $250 and $150 for pick-up i cant remember part numbers but they make front humps and i think from memory they are for a 79-84 camaro or pontiac (memory blank at moment). u can get 5 different capacity and 2 different designs 1's a cross member hugger but wont suit a commy without mods other is a stocky and will clear a commy xmember, they r baffelled and have a side kick to right to allow for better flow and recovery. this is the info im going to give u as i got flamed in last post lol. this is the set-up i used for the 454 i did in the commy as they have hold more oil and also have room for the stroker (standard sump need modding to take a 4in stroke in a 350 this sump doesnt).
