I bought a pod filter today for my VK (EFI 202)
I went to put it on and put it all on without the (air flow meter)? or air temp sensor![]()
Quickly realised that when it wouldnt run.. Then i put the onto the end of the intake pipe, but theres no place for the pod to connect to the air flow meter or temp sensor..
When i leave the thing off and connect the pod straight to the end of the intake pipe, the car just splutters and conks out as soon as ou start it..
So i was going to swap the pod for a panel filter and just use that in the stock airbox, but i really want to make a custom box and cold air intake for the pod but need to find a way to connect it to the air thingo..![]()
Would there be some kind of adapter?
Cheers

Yeah im pretty sure that you hav 2 put the air intake sensor onto its own section of piping (just do soming custom) after the air pod. Try taking your car to an exhust center of somthing because they do alot of intercooling piping etc thay could make something up 4 u, shouldnt cost too much. But also make sure you hav sumthing around the air pod to keep as much hot air out as posibile.
Hope this helps a bit
Nothing wrong with putting a panel in teh stock airbox, better than a pod without a cold air box and far easier to do.Originally Posted by VK_308
Could go to Repco and get some of that silver expandable / flexi tubing and mount it behind the front bumper going up to the airbox - did that with my Integra.
Unless your going hi-po you wont notice any diff between panel or pod/CAI.
I took the airbox out of my coon and fitted a pod and whilst I noticed the diff, it went way better after I put the factory box back in and used a K+N panel filter.
My 2 cents worth
