bonnet scoops

Hey, i was thinking of puting a bonnet scoop on my VH but i am worried about what would happen if water got in the air filter when it rains etc.

i have one on my vc and when it rains i have a vinyl cover (with elastic) that goes over the front of the opening.

sure i'm not getting the cold air for which the scoop's intended, but it keeps the air filter dry

So does it matter if it gets wet or is it better off keeping it dry..

and where would i get a cover from..

i used my yr 9 sewing skillz, but you could ask around if you can buy one

yeah the old street hornet scoop is very nice, I had one on my vl a few years ago and never had any problem with water getting in, I used to drive it in the rain and wash it with no plug in there and it was fine.

but if he puts on a ram-flow filter, for example, he will have issues in the wet weather

I'll post my scoop soon.. it's odd and i don't know where it came from.. looks good for the design and its metal.. i found it in a junkyard ;P
